The aim of Harvest Bible Chapel is to have a well and hand pump at every Harvest Bible Chapel in Liberia. This drinking water will supply an entire community with fresh, clean drinking water, eliminating many health problems and allow children to attend school instead of searching for and carrying water. Currently, the well in Paynesville is not working properly and is need of repair. The cost to repair the well in Paynesville is $2000. Six Harvest Senior Pastors need help meeting their daily needs. As each church grows in depth and breadth giving increases locally. Our goal is to subsidize pastors and pastors in training until the church is able to be self-sufficient. $100 per month sponsors a pastor committed to proclaiming God's Word, multiplying leaders, discipling and equipping the church for the work of ministry. Each pastor is full time in the ministry. Pastors in Liberia have not had the opportunity to receive formal education. Our heart is to provide them with strong biblical and theological training at Christian universities and seminaries in Liberia. $450 per semester can educate a Harvest Pastor to be equipped to teach the whole counsel of God with sound doctrine. (On the donation page, select "International Church Planting" and type in the Memo - "Liberia - Pastor Assistance.")
Transform a child and you will change a nation. Harvest Liberia seeks to raise up the next generation of Christian Leaders by discipling the youngest children to live according to the Word of God. Harvest Christian Academy Liberia has grown to over 350 students with a vision to add an upper class each year through high school graduation. With a goal to provide education with excellence, HCA has several specific needs to make that happen. Your one time or on-going gift will enable HCA to have adequate buildings, feeding programs, necessary materials, teacher training and the ability to reduce children tuition. A little goes a long way. For example, $100 a month can feed 20 children! Join us as we raise up Godly leaders in Liberia through the provision of exceptional and essential education.
Transportation in Liberia is an issue, yet vital for Harvest Pastors to reach their villages, cities, and hold national conferences. A four wheel drive vehicle is needed at $20,000. Three motorbikes are needed at $1,500 each. A van is needed at $15,000. Donations of vehicles can be received and will ship on a container from our Ministry Partner in the US. Financial gifts received will go toward purchasing transport in Liberia. (On the donation page select "International Church Planting" and type in the Memo "Liberia - Transportation.")
In partnership with International Aid Harvest Liberia has received help in caring for the medical needs in it's community. Additional resources are needed to supply church members and those being saved in their communities with immunizations, mosquito nets, solar powered lanterns, vitamins, and nutritional supplements. $500 per month provides medical care for a church of 200 members. (On the donation page select "International Church Planting" and in the Memo type "Liberia - Medical.")
Harvest Liberia's vision is to plant 10 churches in 10 years in the most populated cities of Liberia. $2,000 places a trained pastor in a city, rents a home for his family, leases a room for a core group to develop who will plant a life-giving church. Harvest remains committed to planting church planting churches alive with the gospel of Jesus Christ in passionate pursuit of Christ's promise to build His church.
Since the war ended in 2006 the government of Liberia has put in place strict guidelines for how land will be divided. Once occupied by squatters land has been cleared, boundaries determined, and the sale of land is moving fast. The price of land continues to rise year by year. There is land for sale that is adjacent to the current church facility. On this piece of land are two duplexes; suitable housing. Purchasing this land will provide ministry opportunities as the church grows, as church planters are trained, and as the school expands. This is an important piece of land. $35,000 is required to secure the land and the duplexes.
